Feature Friday – Feb 24
Time for another Feature Friday! Every so often I will feature a Value Collection on myblog and feature some layouts created with the Value Collection as well as some products that co-ordinate well with the Featured Value Collection. I am hoping featuring some kits with some layouts will help inspire you to use the kit some more if you have it already, or maybe even buy it if you don’t already have it. ::innocent smile::
Today I am going to feature one of my all time favourites as a collection I keep coming back to over and over again, Floral Fancy Value Collection.
Here are a few of my own layouts with the Floral Fancy Value Collection.
This is my most recent layout with Floral Fancy. My Daughter in her costume for her end of year dance concert. She played a ‘pansy’ for her part in The Great Fairy Robbery. It is her third concert but the first one where she was finally able to wear a tutu!
Our darling daughter playing at a park. I did this layout for a speed scrap inspiration.
Our precious niece on her 4th birthday.
Created with my Grunge Wildflower Layered Quick Click Template and my Floral Fancy Value Collection.
Cousins enjoying each others company at my Brothers Wedding. The addition of our new niece has worked wonderfully and they all get along beautifully together! 6 May 2011
Our gorgeous girl!! Created with my Floral Fancy Value Collection and Floral Art Quick Bit Masks
Our darling girl performing for the camera when she was 3 years old. She still loves the camera and I think it shows!
A two page layout of Jasmine doing ballet.
Journalling: Jasmine, Today I was able to watch you at your ballet lesson because it was parents day. I love watching you do your ballet as you just seem to have a natural ability and grace to do it. YOu have the perfect build for it as well and I can imagine you doing well at it for many years to come.
Of course being the proud Mum that I am , I managed to take over 400 photos In just an hour so I had better get scrapping!
1 had always wanted to do ballet when I was young, so I guess in a way I am also living vicariously through you.
Jasmine, I am so proud of you and know I will be there to support you as long as you want to keep dancing! April 2011
Now I would love to share some of the beautiful layouts with Floral Fancy that I found in the DSP gallery. If you would like to see a larger version, just click on the image and it will take you to the DSP gallery where you can see a bigger version of the layout.
I love this layout by TalyQ. I love her use of negative space and the seam under the photo together with the element clusters. Beautiful! The photo is so striking too.
DSP Member mcbowersox also has a stunning layout on her layout using Floral Fancy. I love her image off the edge and the pink paper strip under the photo. A very striking layout!
Oh gosh, another beautiful one by mcbowersox! Love the soft pink and the beautiful photo. Just lovely!!! I loved this one so much I moved it to the DSP Hall of Fame Gallery! I love this 2012 Scrappy Awards Nominated Layout – Best Nature/Scenic Layout by DSP Member carolat. The monochrome image is so beautiful and striking then coupled with the soft tones of Floral Fancy. Just Stunningly scrapped!
This negative space layout by DSP member just-pjz is really striking with the opposing corners and element clusters. Beautifully scrapped and such romantic images!
I love the way the ribbons and roses lead your eye from the corner to one photo to the next in this adorable layout by DSP member Maggie Macpaine.
I have quite a few products which will coordinate beautifully with the Floral Fancy Value Collection. I would love for you to check them out in the Digital Scrapbook Place Store.

Feature Friday – Jan 20
Today is my very first Feature Friday! Every so often I will feature a Value Collection on my blog and feature some layouts created with the Value Collection as well as some products that co-ordinate well with the Featured Value Collection. I am hoping featuring some kits with some layouts will help inspire you to use the kit some more if you have it already, or maybe even buy it if you don’t already have it. ::innocent smile::
Today I am going to feature one of my long time favourites as a kit I keep coming back to over and over again, The Monodrama Value Collection.
Here are a few of my own layouts created with Monodrama. As you can see in this layout, the monochrome colour scheme works beautifully with high colour photos. The photos just POP from the black and white layout.
I love using Monodrama when I am not sure which kit will go with the photo best. In this case however, I also thought it was perfect because of the patterns on my daughters top!
Black and white kits are also perfect for an adorable black kitty! How sweet is our kitten Polly! Sadly she went missing at 11 months and we miss her still!
Here are some gorgeous layouts created with Monodrama that I have spotted in the DSP Gallery!
I love the simplicity of this layout by DSP member stitchmitch!
I love the wide angle black and white shot and use of negative space on this layout by just-pjz. It makes for a for a very striking layout! just-pjz also used my Floral Page Borders to make the floral accent to the left of the page.
How adorable is this layout by DSP member dagwood. This little man is so precious and she has shown him off to perfection with her layout.
I LOVE this layout by DSP Designer Jeanet. I love the simplicity, the subtle use of accents and the beautiful splash of colour in the photo. Just SIMPLY STUNNING!
Here is a gorgeous layout by DSP member renee s. I love the splash of colour in the photo and how she bordered her layout with the flowers and black paper. I also love the feint silhouette on the background paper. GORGEOUS!

I hope you have been inspired by this gorgeous selection of layouts by DSP members. I know they certainly inspire me! I have two instant albums created with the Monodrama Collection, and also have a selection of products which are designed to coordinate with Monodrama.

Inspirational Layouts
Last month I had the pleasure of having DET (Digital Scrapbook Place’s Digital Elite Team) member mcbowersox as my dedicated DET member. On a rotational basis designers have a dedicated DET member to use solely that designers work for the month rather than rotating through all the designers as usual. I love having the closer contact with the DET member for a month and really enjoy seeing what one DET member comes up with using my products.
Last time I had a dedicated DET member I really enjoyed being able to feature her work on my blog and decided it might be nice to do again. Christy has a real knack making my designs work for her particular design style. I am sure you will agree her layouts have flare and are very inspiring! If you want to see her layouts up closer, you can click on them to go to her gallery and see them there.
This first layout is titled Friends Forever and is created with my Urban Teen Value Collection, Urban Edge Masks and Whimsical Words of Friendship Wordart. I love the fun and fresh feel to this layout! Gorgeous!
Christy has beautifully demonstrated the versatility of the Urban Teen Value Collection by making a masculine layout with it also. She also used one of my Stamp Cluster Frames (recoloured).

I love how she used my Scrap Comix Value collection to create some really fun layouts in an adorable comic book style. I have to say, how ADORABLE are her kids!!!
This layout, Super Girl, also uses my Blocks and Grids Layered Template
I absolutely adore the following layouts using my Doodle Spritz Value Collection. The soft pastel tones work so beautifully with Christy’s photos and I adore her element clustering. In the following layout Beautiful To Me, Christy also used my Floral Art Masks and Whimsical Words of Beauty.
In this layout, Christy has used my Recycled Paper Alpha as well as the Doodle Spritz Value Collection.
I had a lot of fun with colour creating the Fresh Funk Value Collection and Christy really shows those colours off to perfection in her layouts using Fresh Funk. Christy also uses my Whimsical Words of Fun Wordart with the following layout.
I really love how Christy has used the hanging frame in this layout using Whimsical Words of Beauty Word Art as well as the Doodle Spritz Value Collection.
I love how Christy takes advantage of the rich tones in the About a Boy Value Collection with these layouts. I love the sepia tones combined with the rich red on this layout. She also used the Grunge Flourish Layered Template in the first layout to give some extra grungy goodness! Love it and love the fabulous element clustering!
I love how Christy uses a ‘boy’ kit and proves you don’t have to just use it for boys!!! Check out this adorable layout. How cute are these girls!!
When I designed the Merry Wishes Value Collection I wanted the colours have a slightly different than traditional colour palette as well as something that would work with a wide variety of photos and styles. You can truly get a lot of looks from the Merry Wishes Value Collection to make the most out of it. I love the non traditional colours used as a base for this layout by Christy but the touches of closer to Christmas colour to give it a Christmas-y feel.

Now this one I absolutely ADORE! I love how she used the two patterned backgrounds with the Halftone Layered Template to have them blend diagonally on the page. I never would have thought to use Merry Wishes with the Halftone Layered Template but I am sure you will agree, Christy pulls it off beautifully!
This next layout Christy created using the Sea Biscuit Value Collection. I love her simple layout and the freshness of the photo. The simplicity of this layout works beautifully and makes it look simply striking!
I hope you have enjoyed Christy’s beautiful work and find it as inspiring as I do. I don’t get to do layouts as often as I would like so it is always a treat to see what other people create with my kits. If you want to see more of Christy’s (mcbowersox) beautiful layouts, why not check out her gallery.
Want to see some of my layouts? Check out my Layout Gallery. Want to see the kits used here, you can check out my Design Gallery or go direct to DSP and check out my products there. Who knows, you may just decide to buy one or two.. he he.
