We had a speed scrap yesterday at DSP and this is the layout I created for the speed scrap. Our darling boy when he was just two.
I created the layout with me Thankfully Yours Value Collection.

I did the photo treatment with Dreamy Photo Action from Foto Action Pack Vol 1 and Yellowed Action from Nostalgia Photo Action Pack. Both used with reduced opacity overlayed on original.

I finally got to scrapping some more of our Christmassy photos from this year. Well it was a Christmas photo shoot to do our Christmas cards with but I had some gorgeous shots that I didn’t use for the card. I never seem to take many photos on the actual day because I just want to enjoy the moments and not worry about taking photos.

I loved mcbowersox’s layout which I posted a few days ago so much I just had to scraplift it! So here is my version of her layout, created with my Merry Wishes Value Collection and Halftone Layered Template

The wordart is from my Season of Whimsey Wordart. I also treated the photos with my Urban Grunge Action from my Foto Action Pack Vol 1 and Yellowed Nostalgia Action from my Nostalgia Photo Action Pack.

I took some photos of our kids at the park in July and have finally gotten around to processing them! I am so happy with how they turned out and I am going to scrap a few of them.

This is our daughter on the slide, she takes such a good photo, she Takes My Breath Away!

I used a few different kits to do this one. The background, bottom border and frame was from my Watercolor Fun and Frolic Value Collection. The flowers are from my Choc Watermelon kits and the Fabbo Funky Flowers freebie available at dsp from the gallery. You need to be a member (FREE) to be able to access the freebies. Oh and I used my Faux Lomo Action from my Foto Action Pack Vol 1 on the photo. It gave it some extra pop!

I haven’t done a set of actions for a while so I thought I would do a new set, the inspiration hit in the middle of the night, and luckily I didn’t forget! Check out this set of photoshop actions now available in the DSP store to give your photos a touch of nostalgia.

These three photoshop actions will give your photos a nostalgic look and make them really stand out on your beautiful scrapbook layouts. Create three distinct effects with the Yellowed, Blued and Faded Soft Pastel Actions. Nothing makes your layouts stand out more than a really striking photo and with these actions your layouts will be sure to be admired.

Yellowed – Give your photos that aged yellow look you see on so many old photos that have been sitting in a photo album for years.

Blued – Many polaroid photos take on a blue and blurry effect after the passage of time, turn your photos into aged Polaroids with this action.

Soft Pastel – Use the Soft Pastel action for an aged, desaturated, faded and slightly altered color effect. Perfect to add a romantic aged look to your photos.

Run the actions more than once or combine them to enhance the effects even further.

Lomography!

What on earth is Lomography you ask? Lomography is a form of photography using a Vintage camera called the Lomo or another similar style 'toy' camera. The Lomo camera has developed a following and resurgence of popularity. The Lomo along with other 'toy' camera's have a characteristic vignette altered colour tones and some lens distortion. Using the camera and other 'toy' camera's such the Diana camera creates a unique and quite arty looking effect on your photos. Now rather than buying one of these 'toy' cameras and processing the images the old fashioned way, you can do it digitally to any photo in photoshop with the click of a button using my new action.

Grungy layout of our boy

Our darling boy is a bit of an enigma, he can be oooh sooo sweet and charming, but can also be SO cranky and moody! Created with my Urban Myths Page Kit. I put one of the backgrounds over the other in overlay mode to create a different background. I used my Inked Edges Stamps to create a bit of a border around the photo. I used my Urban Grunge and Faux Lomo actions on his photo. I love how it came out! Both actions are from my Foto Action Pack Vol 1.

She really does rock! :-)
